Q: What does the route look like?
A: The route has been updated for 2024 and can be found below. There are four checkpoints to help keep track of the riders on course with a turnaround point at the Seattle Space Needle. PSP-Fixed 400
Q: What is the riding surface like?
A: 100% Road
Q: Can I ride my own gravel route instead?
A: Hell yeah brother! Stay within a few blocks of the route and roll as much gravel as you want. 40hr time limit
Q: Are there hills?
A: Yes but they are short sweet dreams.
Q: Why the time limit?
A: This event evolved from an experience. The time limit makes the magic happen.
Q: How can anyone tackle 400 miles in such a short time?
A: Know your pace, make a plan and keep moving.
Q: Is there a shorter option?
A: No. But the Cascade Bicycle Club puts on the Seattle to Portland Classic (STP) a month later.
Q: Can I use a geared bike?
A: No.
Q: Can I support my fixie friend on my e-bike?
A: No. E-bikes, motorbikes, automobiles and other motor driven vehicles are prohibited from providing support.
